As a regulated institution subject to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules, the payment processors integrated into Cord establish transaction processing limits for new accounts.
Limits per Card Transaction
For recently created accounts (first 30 days):
- Maximum charge per transaction: $50,000 MXN.
- Maximum monthly volume: $300,000 MXN.
If you send a payment link to a customer for $100,000 MXN and they attempt to pay it with a card during this initial period, the transaction will be declined by our fraud engine.
Payments via Bank Transfer (SPEI)
Payments received via electronic transfer (SPEI) using the dynamic CLABE accounts that Cord generates per quote have no limit. You can collect invoices worth millions of pesos through this channel without friction, since the risk of fraud/chargeback is zero.
Requesting a Card Limit Increase
If your corporate billing requires processing charges of hundreds of thousands of pesos with corporate cards (B2B):
- Go to Settings > Account Verification.
- Upload your bank statements from the last 3 months and your Annual Tax Return.
- Our risk team will permanently raise your transactional processing limit in less than 48 hours.
