Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security. We recommend that your entire team enables it, especially those with Administrator or Finance roles.

Enable 2FA on Your Profile

  1. Click on your avatar in the top right corner and select My Profile.
  2. Under Security, enable Two-factor authentication.
  3. A QR code will be displayed. Scan it using an app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm.

Saving Backup Codes: The system will provide you with 10 single-use codes. Keep them in a safe place. If you lose your phone, these codes are the only way to regain access to your Cord account.

Enforce 2FA for the Team (Enterprise Organizations)

Enterprise account owners can force all members to enable 2FA:

  1. Go to Settings > Security.
  2. Enable Require two-step verification for all members. Any employee who does not have 2FA enabled will be logged out and forced to configure it upon their next login.
